You’re going to visit the town of Orange. This Roman town stands out thanks to its remains, especially its majestic Ancient Theatre, the biggest theatre in Imperial Rome and the best preserved in Europe, a UNESCO world heritage site, its Arc de Triomphe… and of course its Art and History museum.
Then, we‘ll make our way towards Châteauneuf du Pape where you will discover the
most prestigious vineyards in the Côtes du Rhône. The vines were originally planted
by the Popes in the Middle Ages, and have been famous ever since the 18th century.
Châteauneuf du Pape became the first officially recognised ‘appellation d’origine
contrôlée’ of the Côtes du Rhône in 1936. It extends over more than 3,300 hectares
and is worked by more than 55 private estates and 300 wine growers. You’ll be invited
to take a guided tour of one cellar to understand the winemaking process and use
of oak casks and barrels. You’ll have the opportunity to find out more and taste
the wines and vintages from one famous domain of Châteauneuf-
